Aparri Parody Song

Okay so it looks like my mom has taken away my laptop (doing this on an iPad), so it looks like I'll have to take a break from blogging for another month. During the new year I was thinking of switching to making videos.

For now, a friend recently showed me a lyrical video of the song "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon. When I heard the word apricot, I immediately thought of Aparri. I don't hate him, but I'm not fond of him either, and I definitely don't dislike or hate his fans at all. I try to stay neutral, but from the bad media he gets I just couldn't help but write a parody based off the song (for best results I suggest singing the lyrics in your head to the beat of the real thing)

Real song/lyrics:

Parody lyrics by me:
~
You walked into the Masterpiece Party
As you were filming a vid-deo
Your tophat strategically dipped below one eye
Your haters yell "It's Apricot"
You had one eye on the cam-mera
As you watched the likes pile up
And all the fangirls dreamed they'd get an auto
They'd get an auto . . . and

You're so vain
You prolly think this parody's about chu
You're so vain, you're so vain!
I'll bet you hate Jistera and Julian2
Don't chu
Don't chu

Oh you had me several months ago
When I still had very few subs
Well you said that Wistparri would always be shipped
And that it was the only one
But you hacked and scammed and cheat-ted
And one of them was me
I had some dreams they were jags in my mailtime
Jags in my mailtime . . . and

You're so vain
You prolly think this parody's about chu
You're so vain, you're so vain!
I'll bet you hate Jisteria and Julian2
Don't chu
Don't chu
Don't chu

Well I hear you went to play Jamaa Der-by
And your horse naturally won
Then you tele-ported to Jamaa Township
To spread all your cringey cheeseheads around
Well you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not you're stealing some other idea
Or painting some scribbles
Painting some scribbles . . . and

You're so vain
You prolly think this parody's about chu
You're so vain, you're so vain!
I'll bet you hate Jisteria and Julian2
Don't chu
Don't chu
Don't chu
~

Also, Happy Thanksgiving jammers!

I AM STILL HERE!!!

I've been so busy this November, but I swear I haven't forgotten about this blog. This month I'm participating in an online program called NaNo WriMo, where you have to write an entire novel in just one month. If you're shooting for an average book that's 50k words long, you have to write 1,667 words per day! I'm already behind . . .

But in Decemeber I should have a little more free time as I will be going on vacation for about three weeks. Around that time I'll probably post more and even get my YouTube channel started up again. I do meed some suggestions for easy video editing programs that are also free? I'm still kinda lost about what to do with iMovie (it's free but doesn't seem to do a lot). I tried looking up instruction videos but they're all outdated!

Anyhow, if any of you wanna help out, go over to the "Meet the Team" page and wait a few seconds for an author sugn-up form below.

Adieu for now.

(also my mom took away my laptop again but that's a different story)

How to Change the Attribution Widget

Every Tuesday, I'll try to get a new post out concerning some major blogging tips, ones that will make your blog look better than ever! (all of these tips will require you to be a blog admin)

First, I'll discuss how to change that attribution thing at the bottom of your blog-- and no, I don't mean just putting your copyright. I mean getting that annoying "Powered by Blogger" text off of there, huh? Follow these steps . . .

1. Log into Blogger as usual and select Template.

2. Look on the screen and find "Edit HTML". Click that, and then find the "Jump to Widget" button. Select it, and then find the button that says Attribution1 (it should be somewhere near the top kinda).

3. You will automatically be directed to a long list of code. Without moving anything, simply look at the top of the code box and you should see Attribution1 somewhere in it.

4. Find the words locked='true' and change the word true to false.

Basically what you're doing is telling the program that the attribution widget is no longer "locked" in place. Locked is not "true" anymore, but now "false" (coding has some very high ethical standards).

5. Go to the Layout page and scroll down until you see the Attribution widget. Click on edit. You should now see a remove button!

~

6. Oh wait, you still want copyright? You just didn't want that Powered by Blogger thing? Oh, gotcha.  Okay, well you can do that, too. First, after you save the new layout, make a new widget (but not in the area where the attribution once stood. It won't work there).

7. Select the "Text" one. To make it look nice, you'll want to center the words. To do that, switch the HTML version of the widget and copy/paste the code

into the box. Type in what you want your copyright to say directly after the code. Also remember to keep the title of the widget blank.

(the red underline shows where the change-to-HTML button will be).

8. Finally, save the Text widget and drag in into the bottom footer/attribution area.

Volia!

Rare Phantom Necklace + Rare Viking Helmet

Happy Halloween everyone! Or at least, the day. The spooky stuff all begins tonight . . . anyhow, I will now share the newest RIM! It's very cool:

The Rare Phantom Necklace is located on the eighth page in Jam Mary Clothing, upper right box. It costs a slightly high 1000 gems and it's for members only, but it's definitely worth it. Its colors look just look a phantom's.
~

Next as previous RIM, we have the Rare Viking Hat. They originally came out during the beta stage (making the non-rare version surprisingly worth more than the rare one), and were re-released on March 12, 2016 with the gold tag added. Interestingly, many jammers mis-call them "viking helmets." (though I do think it's more fitting!)
Here's what the rare versions looked like:

(sorry for the not-very-sharp pictures. I wrote this and took them on a phone.)

Secret Messages in Bottle Mean PECK AND ZIOS HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED?!

So I've been pretty busy lately with Halloween stuff, as we went to a zoo party yesterday. Last minute (like a day before we would go) I decided I wanted to be a witch so we went out and got a cheap spooky-dress costume thing. I don't like wearing big floppy hats so I got a mini-witch-hat headband instead, but that became uncomfortable as well :P My dad took a picture pf me with his cellphone flash on and the way the light reflected off my eyes made me looked possessed or something ha ha.

Okay, now back to business:

AJ Bingo Card + Weird Personal Stories

On Animal Jam social media, people have been doing lots of bingo cards based off of AJ experiences. Here's one I completed from Julian2:

Darn it, no bingo! If you're curious, I'll tell you a little more about the things I checked off, they have some interesting stories behind them . . .

Roleplayed: Ah, that happened in about March of this year. I don't usually role-play, but I saw an advertisement for a Warrior Cats one and got interested. Problem is, I only read like one page of the books! Surprisingly, I understood what was going one quite well, and I think my disguise of being a Warrior Cats fan deceived everyone ;)

Anyway, the leader lead us to an underground burrow den, and I got to be the medicine cat (I used a wolf animal at that time), with a bunny as my apprentice. One of the other role-players, a snow leopard, was kinda suspicious. As we joked around and did Warrior Cat stuff, we outside of the burrow and found a weird, crater with glowing green goop in it. You can buy those in Epic Wonders, but we pretended that it was radioactive.

But the bunny, my apprentice, "jumped into the pool." As she did, the snow leopard showed off a vampire-fangs animated emoji, and I became highly suspicious of the crater. She also did/said some other stuff but I cat remember what. "I took some samples," and then suddenly, something "began to pull my apprentice down." The bunny took on a green splotch pattern, and I "dove in to save her." Afterwards, we all went to the leader, and I tried to explain that I was wary of that crater, because of the snow leopard's actions. I said stuff like "see I knew it was bad I warned her."

Sadly, we were all talking over each other, and the bunny said that a white cat was the one to blame (she was referring to the snow leopard). When everyone finally quieted down, the leader told us to go back to our room, except for me. I stayed, and he asked me if "I understood what I id wrong." I was very confused and asked what he meant, so he explained "that I made the bunny go into the crater, even though I didn't know it was bad."

After a few seconds of confusion, the bunny approached and said, "Sir, I said a white cat, she's a wolf."

Then I figured out what the misunderstandment was. Because of my defense, he thought that I was the  snow leopard (I also happened to have white-ish colored paws). We started talking some more, and he put a bunch of question marks, but finally it got sorted. The real snow leopard suddenly said, "Well I gtg bye." And then she poofed!

Another time I tried to role-play as a dragon on this fantasy one, but since I didn't have an eagle, two other "dragons" made fun of me and said I couldn't fly :P

Bought AJ Merchandise: Yep! For my brithday this year, I ordered some figurines off of Amazon. I currently have the fox princess castle set, the horse with light-up ring, a koala, and a tiny birdie pet in its house. I originally wanted the disco set, but they were sold out. ;-; I hope to add more figures to my collection soon.

Made a Masterpiece: Yep! I usually keep them (you can find them in my den), but the two that I did trade away was a picture of the famous pop tart Nyan Cat and one of Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls. Sometimes I wondered what became of them :P An AJ friend also wanted me to paint an alien-space attack painting, so I gave that to her (she must've went around Jamaa advertising it because it gained 40 likes somehow!)

Suspended or Banned: Yup. Once I was doing the Forgotten Desert adventure with some other eagles, and we were trying to do the notorious purple stones. We were so close and I was so excited that I kept pressing random keys on my keyboard (something I do when I'm hyped). I must've been doing it too much because then it banned me for a day! Obviously, they didn't get to finish the purple gems . . .

Right after that, a friend and I went around exploring epic dens, and I got suspended for yelling, "IT'S A BEACH HOUSE DEN YAY!" because the system thought I said you-know-what.

Been Scammed: Heck ya. I've only been scammed once, though. It happened when I was trying to get my dream item, rare sunglasses. I was advertising a lot in Jamaa Township, and I said I'd give a spike and some medium-rares. This one arctic wolf wanted more, but at the time I was experiencing a glitch where I could only trade six items at once. We moved to the Mira statue where nobody could bother us, and I explained that I couldn't. I told her that we could make two different trades. I would trade her six rares for her bad item, and then the spike and other stuff for the sunglasses.

But then she said that she wanted the spike first. At this I became very suspicious, but I ended up trading the diamond spiked collar for her pillbox hat. Then she said "Thanks," and ran away!

Since it was the first time I ever got scammed, I became pretty angry and flooded her jammer wall with all-caps rants (she sent me a jag so I knew her username). I didn't tell her to die or anything really bad, but just stuff like, "That was so bad of you!" "You should be ashamed!"

Immediately, I realized I had overreacted way to much and apologized. She showed me the teary-eyed emoji on the jammer wall and offered to give me the spikes back plus the sunglasses. I refused and apologized again. Soon the angry message I had sent her were erased from her wall.

Oh, and guess what? Later I found out that I didn't have a trading glitch, AJHQ simply changed the layout and I didn't know how to scroll down when offering a trade!

Other than that not much has happened to me on AJ.

AJ Music in Den Glitch

I know this glitch has been out for awhile, but it's never too late. So here, I recently decided to test this glitch everyone's been buzzing about.

Apparently, all you have to do is go to your den, click the edit button, and then the change music button. Next, click on a different music, then click the original AJ Melody soundtrack. Huzzah!

I swear the pic's not edited or photoshopped. If you're a nonmember, then you'll have to clear your den and click the AJ Melody button from there (if you have lots of stuff in your den, I suggest buying a new one and testing it out there).

The AJ Melody logo should appear somewhere in the middle or corner of your den. This doesn't seem to work on other songs, though.

Phantom Vortex Hints

Today we talk about the Phantom Vortex, a mystical portal that only opens up during the Night of the Phantoms. Once you enter, you are immediately delved into a dark dimension, filled with the spider-like creatures trying to steal your candy.

If you are brave enough to venture to the spooky realm, there are many portals scattered throughout the lands. There is one in each:

Go to Jamaa Township, and go all the way down to the Jamaa Derby area. Look to the left.

In Appondale, go to the upper left, and look near the cave you cannot enter, above the Conservation Museum.

In Mt. Shiveer, climb the icy mountains and right above the ice cave that leads to Crystal Sands.

In Crystal Sands, go up the water slides and toward the cave that leads you back where you were before (Mt. Shiveer).

In Sarepia Forest, avoid the slide and go to the left and look near the flag shop.

In Kimbara Outback, look near the bottom of the screen, near the Medical Center (part of the control panel thing at the bottom is blocking it whoops).

And finally, there it is in Coral Canyons. Go up the left side of the rocky canyon and look near the den store (aaand this time my pet is blocking it).

Okay well since I just gave you the dramatic quest, it's time to check out the vortex's game, called Phantoms! The goal is to keep the approaching phantoms away from the piece of candy and guide them into the blue portal thingies (maybe the take 'em to Peck's prison)!

Scene of the action! At the left bottom, there is a chart which tells you how many phantoms are in the current level and how many you have caught so far. Lower right tells you the total phantoms caught and what level your on.

Poor phantom getting trapped ("but I was just hungry!")

Phantoms and the portal traps are spawned randomly, so there's actually no goo method of winning it. After every five levels you get a prize. I've only made it up to eight and got a trapdoor for my den. I hope to beat my record soon.

I counted and when there are more than one phantom on a level, each one appears on the screen every two seconds. It takes about ten seconds for a phantom to get from one end of the screen to the other. Maybe if your some kind of math genius with an intense knowledge of angles and time you could probably ace this game. XD

My method is to be quick as possible. I find it easier to lead the phantom to the portal and then lead it away from the candy. Like if the candy is in the upper left corner and the portal is in the upper right corner, I would guide the phantom up and then to the right.

Interestingly, levels 3 - 5 are the easiest levels, because the more phantoms, the more portal traps. Don't worry about getting one into which trap, I suggest guiding each one to the nearest portal.

Oh, and if you move the torch to the edge of the screen or off, it will suddenly appear in the upper left corner!

Again, this certain mini-game just takes practice. I've looked online and there aren't any established methods to win. Good luck!

3 Weird Things in Bitter Sweets

So these are some pretty interesting things I found it the Night of the Phantoms adventure!

First, when you go to the swamp, make sure you enter along the right side. As you move down, a certain cattail will suddenly turn into a hotdog!

Go to the graveyard, and click on the big tombstone with the phantom skull. A ghost hoard appears!

Finally, move to the laboratory, and near the upper left side, you'll see to mysterious phantom creature disappear in and out in tubes filled with weird green goo!

Bitter Sweets Adventure Guide Completed!

Woot woot! I finally got this done! After trail and error (I kept forgetting to put certain pet passages on the map), the first adventure guide I have worked on is ready.

Here's the main map: (the green dots stand for pet passages and the orange dots stand for four-player areas)

If you want read the full guide,

You can also find it on the main Adventure Guides index page, which is a green button to the left of this blog.

When the Bitter Sweets adventure was first released on October 2, 2014, it was originally limited to four players! Also, it had actual adult phantoms in there, that could put them to sleep. The candy goal was shorter too, only 50 candies, but in a time of twelve minutes.

Interestingly, if a jammer touches a porto-phantom that is in the middle of respawning, it'll loose half of its health heart.

There used to be other animal passages, including that of a cheetah, sugar glider, joey, and tiger.

The most mysterious thing, I think, is that there used to be an adventure dubbed "TBA," but it was removed like super quick when it was released. I looked up some videos, and it appears in Sept 2014, TBA was an early testing of Bitter Sweets. Liza was featured in it, and you had to collect special stones instead of candies, like The Forgotten Desert. There was even a button that asked if you wanted to enable a cheat!

The OTHER Night of the Phantoms

Okay, so today I will be discussing the 3D version of Jamaa's spooky celebration! The Play Wild app, becoming more and more popular, is hosting it's second Night of the Phantoms.
