To access Bitter Sweets, there will be a button under the Party drop-down menu.
After it disappears, you'll find yourself in a spooky area, with proto-phantoms floating around here and there. Go up to one, and it'll starting running away. Its pupils will contract and it'll sweat in fear, knowing you're on its tail. If you succeed in touching it, you'll get 3 candies.
To guide you, there'll be a map in the bottom right corner of the screen. As you progress on your journey, you'll notice it's shaped as a phantom. There are five different places, and each leg holds one. There is a pumpkin patch, spooky forest, cave, laboratory, swamp, and graveyard. If you don't have a flying animal, then you are restricted somewhat when traveling through (you must walk on the swamp's tree stumps, go around tombstones in the graveyard, and go around tables in the lab). Trees block you either way.
Along with collecting candy, there will be treasure chest scattered across the land, offering various prizes. The ones that need four players give you candy, usually around 75 of them. The ones that need certain pets give can give you small rares. Here is a map showing where they are.
When you first enter, a spooky creature will greet you. Oddly, it will not reveal its name and you'll only see it's green, glowing eyes (I bet it's a traitor phantom). It will speak these words to you:

In the upper-right hand corner of the screen, there will be a meter showing how many candies you have in total. You get a Halloween-theme prized for every interval. First you must gather 100 candies, then 200, 400, 700, and finally, 1000.

Once you complete the game by getting 1000 candies, the mysterious creature congratulates you and a screen with five treasure chest pops up, similar to the runs in regular adventures. Sadly, no prizes for this has been recored yet.
