Okay, so today I will be discussing the 3D version of Jamaa's spooky celebration! The Play Wild app, becoming more and more popular, is hosting it's second Night of the Phantoms.
First, you can buy the new Phantom Flight Suit from the Sapphire Shop, which has full-body set with a mask, back armor, and shoes, each piece ranging from 15-20 sapphires. When you wear the complete costume, you get to fly around instead of walk. I added bat glasses and a purple spiked collar to jazz it up ;)

In speaking of outfits, AJHQ just released a new feature for app users: Saving outfits for other animals. I really wish the in-game version had that!
And the sapphire shop. They changed that up quite a bit. Instead of it's circular layout (which I liked better), it's now just a long, narrow, sparkly hall. Oh well. There's a new poster up for the entire Halloween package: den, furniture, phantom armor, pet bat, and music. It costs 250 sapphires, equalivent to $4.99.
Now, time for the spooky business. There are some unusual phantom vortexes scattered across Jamaa, one in each land.
The ones in Appondale, Lost Temple of Zios, and Coral Canyons look a bit different:
When you hover over it, a green circle appears as if you were going to switch animals. Suddenly, your sucked down to the deep dark depths of a new dimension, overrun by phantoms. Eerie music begins to play, and the gatekeeper, I assume, stands guard, waiting for the foolish (actually brave) jammers to take on the phantom challenge.
In the phantom challenge, aka Super Sweets, you must conquer three deadly phantoms by connecting matching candy. When you connect 12 or more candies total, that match the little icon near your health level, you get a boomed power-up! This reduces each phantom's health by about 40. Normal attacks are 2.5 health damage for every candy used.
Pet bats have arrived, costing 10 sapphires. They flap along by your side, waiting for some blood to suck on . . .
Oh, they also have a new treasure hunt available for everyone. I assume it arrives every Tuesday?
Finally, I should have a complete adventure guide to Bitter Sweets out tomorrow.
Wow! That update makes me wish I had the game! Hopefully I'll get an iPad for Christmas. ;)
